Meet The Owner
Meet Ryan Chvala-Manges, your expert baker and pastry artist who relocated to Little Rock from Atlanta, Georgia, in March 2021. With a strong culinary background, Ryan is dedicated to creating delectable cakes and pastries using only the finest quality ingredients.
Ryan's journey in the culinary world began at the Art Institute of Atlanta, where he earned his Associate Degree in Culinary Arts. During his time there, his passion for baking and crafting delicious pastries blossomed. His insatiable love for all things sweet led him to further his education at Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, SC, where he pursued an advanced degree in Baking and Pastry. Throughout his studies, Ryan excelled in various aspects of baking, including bread making and the intricate art of fondant and gum paste work.

I was in a pinch when I stumbled upon Mental Bakedowns and Pastry Attacks. Needing a custom cake for a special occasion, I reached out with a short notice. To my surprise, they not only accommodated my request but also created a masterpiece. The cake was a flavor explosion, with unexpected yet perfectly balanced combinations. Where to begin...!? This place is AMAZING. Ryan squeezed my cake order into his schedule on short notice, making an INCREDIBLE cake that was as delicious as it was beautiful. I took the cake to a birthday dinner party, and all of the guests were just beside themselves and were swooning over how tasty it was. As far as I'm concerned, all future cakes in my life will come from Mental BakeDowns and Pastry Attacks. If you haven't been here, you are in for a treat!
